Akiva Publishing · Rav Tzadok Library

Privacy policy

Effective October 7, 2026

This policy explains how Akiva Publishing handles information when you use the Akiva Publishing Android app (package org.akivapublishing.reader) or the Rav Tzadok Library website.

Reading and information on your device

The reader does not require an account. Your reading position, recent reading, display preferences, and saved offline texts are stored on your device. The Android app does not synchronize these items to an Akiva Publishing user account. Files you choose to download or export are saved to the location you select with Android’s file picker.

The Android app requests internet and network-status access. It does not request access to your contacts, camera, microphone, precise location, advertising identifier, or general device storage. It includes no advertising or analytics SDK.

Online requests and service providers

The library is hosted by Netlify. Opening pages, loading texts, and downloading editions sends network requests to the hosting service. These requests include your IP address, requested resource, and standard browser or app request headers. The hosting service may retain operational and security logs to deliver and protect the website.

The reader uses Sefaria to retrieve texts, translations, source connections, and search results. These requests send the requested reference or search terms, your IP address, and standard request headers to Sefaria. Opening a Sefaria link takes you to its service. The web reader also loads typefaces from Google Fonts; font requests send your IP address and standard request headers to Google.

These providers handle request information under their own policies: Netlify privacy policy, Sefaria privacy policy, and Google Fonts privacy information. Links to other websites, including book retailers, are governed by those websites’ policies.

Contact requests

If you contact Akiva Publishing by email, your email address and the information you choose to send are used to respond to your request. Avoid sending passwords, financial details, or other information unnecessary for your request.

Security, retention, and deletion

The Android reader uses HTTPS for the library and blocks unencrypted web traffic. Device data remains until you clear the app’s storage, remove saved packs in the reader, or uninstall the app. Exported files remain wherever you saved them until you delete them. Shared reading links may include the passage you selected.

Network and security logs are retained according to the hosting and content providers’ policies and service settings. Correspondence may be retained as needed to respond to a request, maintain a record of its resolution, or satisfy applicable obligations. To request deletion of correspondence or ask about information held by Akiva Publishing, contact the address below. This app has no user account to delete.
